Private logs and accounts

The app stores your profile, meals, weights, workouts, goals, preferences, saved items, and chat on your device and in a private cloud account. Guest use creates an anonymous account for server features. Optional Sign in with Apple links that account and may supply an email or private relay address. Supabase provides authentication and private data storage; Google Cloud hosts the app service.

Optional Apple Health

With your permission, the app reads body-weight measurements and saves imported weights in your private cloud log. It requests no Health write access. Stop import in the app to prevent new imports; existing imported measurements remain until deleted. Health data is not used for advertising.

Optional AI processing

After explicit consent, requested AI features send your messages or photos, relevant food and weight history (including imported weights), and dietary preferences to OpenAI through our service. Photos are resized and metadata is removed. Review estimates and portions before relying on them. Dictation is processed on your device; only the text you send goes to the service.

Retention and deletion

Temporary photos and processing inputs/results expire after 24 hours; physical cleanup follows, allowing outstanding upload links to expire. Private logs, settings, and chat remain until cloud deletion. Provider requests use store:false, but OpenAI may retain abuse-monitoring records for up to 30 days, with exceptions. Deleting app data does not delete those provider records.

Use the account controls in You to delete cloud account data. Local reset clears this device only. After deleting an Apple-linked account, also remove Track Protein in your Apple sign-in settings. Minimum operation identifiers and request hashes remain for security and duplicate-processing prevention. Hosting logs and backups may have separate retention. The local snapshot is excluded from automatic device backups; intentional exports are your responsibility.

Your controls

AI consent, Health import, camera access, and local reminders are optional. There is no advertising, cross-app tracking, or sale of personal data. The app is intended for adults 18 and older. Contact us for privacy or deletion help.
